state who voted in the 2002 mid-term election. States are listed from highest to lowest and rounded to the nearest percentage point. States where sample sizes are too small to reliably estimate youth turnout are not included (AK, DE, DC, HI, MT, ND, RI, SD, VT, WY). Nationally,
19% of 18-24 year-old citizens turned out to vote.
