As Research Associate, Karlo Marcelo produces quantitative
and qualitative research, writes for the quarterly newsletter
and answers research queries.
Karlo Marcelo holds a Master of Public Policy from the
Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy at the University
of Michigan and was a 2002 Public Policy and International
Affairs Fellow. In 2004, he worked as a graduate intern
at the Leadership Conference on Civil Rights in Washington,
DC, where he researched and wrote articles on hate crimes,
disability rights and voting rights. While completing
his B.A. in Government & Politics and Economics at
the University of Maryland, he was an Associate of the
CIVICUS program--an innovative academic citation program
focused on civil society studies and service learning.
In college, Karlo served as an undergraduate research assistant
to Profs. Judith Torney-Purta and Miranda Schreurs.
