Young
Voters and the Web of Politics: Best Practices
Candidate
Sites
Our
general findings suggested that candidate websites used
the interactive capabilities of the web less often than
sites in the youth engagement web sphere, and that candidates
rarely included direct or indirect appeals to younger
voters in their websites.
Many
candidate sites, however, provided excellent examples
of these techniques, which we believe are an important
part of tapping the full potential of the internet as
an entryway into electoral politics for American youth.
